The Eucharist: Communion with Jesus and with one another, the theme of the International Eucharistic Congress beginning in Dublin this weekend, a gathering to reflect on the central place of the Eucharist in our life, that which brings us into communion. We return on this feast day to the source. The Last Supper that Jesus shared with his chosen; we know the significance of that Passover meal Jesus celebrated, the ritual we re-enact with every Mass.
